Exams | Our office is equipped with the latest computer technology to assist the doctors in obtaining the most accurate information available. New autorefractors give a computerized model of your spectacle prescription, topography to measure the corneal curvature for contact lens fitting, and visual field analyzers to check the central and peripheral vision are all part of a thorough eye health evaluation. Additionally, we offer the Optomap Retinal Exam, a comprehensive method of evaluating, monitoring and helping treat various eye conditions. This assists the doctors in viewing the retina to detect early signs of eye diseases as well as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and cancer.
We have installed a Tomey digital auto-lensometer to assure 100% quality control of your prescription eyeglasses. You can now be assured that when your prescription is fabricated by our optical laboratory it is error free and made to our exact specifications. The doctor will thoroughly examine the external and internal parts of your eyes for signs of eye or body diseases.
The doctors at Professional Visioncare Associates recommend that you have a comprehensive eye exam once a year. Comprehensive Eye Exam Includes the Following: - Internal and external eye health evaluation
- Refraction for eyeglass prescription
- Glaucoma testing
- Visual field testing
- Dilation (if necessary)
- Visual recommendation and treatment plan.
